Originally this eye opener was one half tomato juice, one half gin. It was probably created before the famous Bloody Mary, because gin was far more popular far longer than vodka.
Here’s the Red Snapper Gin Cocktail Recipe
1 1/4 oz. Gin,
Dash of Lemon and/or lime juice
Worcestershire,
2 or 3 drops Tabasco, Pepper, Salt & Celery salt, Tomato juice
Over ice in a tall glass, add spices, then Gin,
top off with Tomato juice & Stir Garnish with Celery stick & Lime wedge.
